To apply for a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) in Assam

To apply for a Permanent Residence Certificate (PRC) in Assam using the e-District portal, you can: 

1.    Go to the e-District Assam portal at edistrict.assam.gov.in 

2.    Register if you're a first-time user 

3.    Log in with your credentials 

4.    Click the Apply Online tab 

5.    Select the service you want to apply for 

6.    Click the Apply button 

7.    Fill out the form and upload the required supporting documents 

8.    Submit the form 

You can track the status of your application by:

1.    Clicking the Track button

2.      Entering your application reference number 

You can expect to receive an SMS and email notification when your application is forwarded to higher officials. If any corrections are needed, you'll receive a query via SMS and email. 

To be eligible for a PRC in Assam, you must:

·         Be an Indian citizen

·         Have parents or ancestors who have permanently resided in Assam for at least 50 years

·         Have resided in Assam for at least 20 years 

You can also apply for a PRC for your child if you meet the above eligibility criteria. 

The PRC is valid for your entire life and is used as proof of permanent residence in Assam. It's also required for admission to educational institutions.

·         Signature.

·         Admit Card (HSLC/HSSLC)

·         Current Certified Copy of Voter.

·         Legacy Data/Voter list (1971 to 1951)
